As college students I think we are all familiar with the day to day stress of school. Every day you either have a test to study for, homework to complete by midnight, or at least a chapter to read. Sometimes, it all just gets to be too hectic.
Your day starts by getting woken up by the rude alarm clock, then you sit through all of your classes, and then whether you work or play a sport or both, by the end of the day you just want to get into bed. But, as I mentioned, there's always something to be done. We easily say we just don’t care anymore, but our countless hours of completing our homework and getting good grades says we do care, a lot.
I, for one, know that by the third task that I am on at night, I just want to rip my hair out and scream “I’M SO DONE WITH THIS!” But, we all know I am definitely not done with it and I continue to work hard. After going through all of the long nights and stress turning in that work and getting a good grade makes it all worth it.
After we get all that we had to do done, even if you don’t get everything done right away we get reminded of why we do this. We do this to get closer to our goals. We do this to keep working for our futures. Whether it’s working hard all day on that assignment, studying for that exam, practicing your sport, or learning all of the lines for your show, it all turns out to be worth it.
No matter how many times we scream and mumble under our breath “I don’t even care anymore,” we most definitely do.
