A is for Axe'em Jacks!

B is for Baker Pattillo. (or Banita)

Dr. Baker Pattillo serves as our University President, we call him Baked Potato for short.

C is for the caterpillar invasion.

D is for Dancing at Banita Creek Hall.

Whether it's Ladies Night, Dollar Night or a Texas Country Concert you are always in for a good time at Banita.

E is for East Texas Pines.

F is for Frogs.

Head to Frogs on Wednesday Night for BAG and Karaoke then on Friday Night for Turtle Races!

G is for Greek Life.

H is for Homer Bryce Stadium.

I is for Intramural Sports.

Intramural sports are taken very seriously at SFA. Only the best of the best receive a coveted intramural champion t-shirt.

J is for Jack Camp.

Students often attend Jack Camp the summer before starting their freshman year of college. Whether you are Austin Tribe or Rusk Tribe..friendly competition is a great way to grow Lumberjack Pride.

K is for Kennedy Auditorium.

L is for Lumberyard.

M is for Mac Balls.

Just one of the many delicious treats that can be found at Macklemore's.

N is for Nacogdoches.

Nacogdoches can be referred to as any of the following; Nac, Nasty Nac, Nac-o-no-where. It is known for being the oldest down in Texas.

O is for Ole Cotton

Ol Cotton is fired everytime the Lumberjacks score a touchdown.

P is for Parking Tickets

Q is for the Questionable food at the dining halls on campus.

R is for Ralph W. Steen Library.

You may hear some students refer to it as "the lib" or "club lib".

S is for Surfin' Steve

T is for Tailgates.

U is for Unique Experience.

V is for Vista Drive.

W is for Watermelon Bash.

X is for X-tremely scared of stepping on the seal.

Y is for You Matter.

SFA cares about you and who you are as a person! They (the faculty and staff) want to see you succeed and follow your dreams.

Zero Student Parking or Zero doubt that SFA is the best college in the Lonestar State.

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.
