Half-way through the semester, and it's that time again: class registration. It feels like your current classes haven't even begun yet, but you need to start preparing for your next set of classes.
Picking classes is stressful, time-consuming, and most importantly, a major source of anxiety. Each semester, however, you have to go through the same motions to ensure a good schedule without classes like "Introduction to Insects" or "History of Feathers". Here are the seven steps most students go through while picking their classes.
1. Getting the pre-pass time jitters
Four minutes has never felt so long.
2. Frantically adding classes before they close
There was only one spot left when you last checked, and it totally has your name on it.
3. Successfully getting the first class you wanted
You're basically on your way to the best semester ever. Bonus: the class fits your major requirements.
4. But realizing the only section open is at 8 a.m.
Looks like sleep isn't going to be an option for you this semester.
5. Being put on four waitlists
Being number 86 on the waitlist isn't totally hopeless...right?
6. Checking when your next pass time is
Just trying to figure out when your next chance at redemption is.
7. Forgetting about next semester and just trying to enjoy the current one
Next semester isn't for a couple of months anyway. You're enjoying this semester, so why worry about the next one?
