Writing papers can be one of the worst parts of college—especially when you have multiple papers due at the same time. If you’re anything like me, then you understand the agony of writing papers during final exams. It’s easy to lose sight of the actual topic and to focus on the page count so you can just finish the dang thing! Without further ado, here are the 7 (over-dramatic) stages of writing a paper.
1. Denial.
I don’t need to do this. It’s fine. I can fail. I would make a promising homeless person.
2. Procrastination.
There’s a new season of Fuller House on Netflix? I must watch it all, or I won’t be able to concentrate on this paper!
3. Anger.
WHY AM I DOING THIS?
4. Bargaining.
Can I please have an extension? I know I’ve had all semester, but I am human garbage, and I need more time.
5. Depression.
Why am I like this?
6. Acceptance.
You know what? It’s only six pages. I can do this. I just won’t sleep.
7. Exhaustion.
It’s done, and I need a nap.
