The 6 Best Beaches In New Jersey

Who doesn’t love the beach? The answer to that it nobody, of course. When people think of the beach you always hear names like Florida, Myrtle Beach, and Hawaii thrown around, but everyone seems to forget the fourth smallest state in the U.S.: New Jersey.

Many know Jersey as the armpit of America, but those people have never experienced the beautiful beaches of the Jersey. This article is going to clue you in the best things to do at the Jersey Shore:

Point Pleasant Beach

Point Pleasant Beach, better known as Point, is a tourist mecca. In Point, there is something for everyone. If rides and games are what you are into, look no further. Point has a host of arcades with hundreds of machines, and prizes to be claimed. Point also offers a small amusement park fully equipped with a roller coaster, bumper cars and everyone’s favorite ride, the Magic School Bus. For those who are into the food scene, there are strips of great restaurants to try. Many serve boardwalk favorites such as funnel cake and awesome fries and ice cream. Oh, did I forget to mention the beach is glorious as well!

Bradley Beach

For those who enjoy the feel a sleepy town, head on over to Bradley Beach. Nestled in between Belmar and Asbury Park, Bradley is a quiet spot to catch in the rays. There are so many awesome food joints on Ocean Avenue and the boardwalk is freshly redone; there is no reason to not have Bradley on your list of spots to visit this summer.

Belmar

Belmar is a town of young and fun people. Each avenue in town has its own unique feel and style. One avenue it’s all hustle and bustle and the next you’re sitting in prime fishing territory. This town has something for everyone, just come by and find out for yourself!

Long Beach Island or LBI

LBI is a tourist paradise. It is one of those towns that really is only open during the summer and is closed during the winter. LBI is famous for their restaurant Chicken and the Egg, which has the best chicken in town. The beach is superb and in general is a very relaxed environment.

Sandy Hook

Sandy Hook is a beautiful spot to go and to learn a thing or two. Sandy Hook is home to a gorgeous lighthouse and the Marine Academy of Science and Technology (MAST). When not exploring the lighthouse or learning about the native species to Jersey, you can relax and enjoy the sun on their six miles of beach.

Wildwood

Wildwood is split into the main section and the Crest. The Crest is completely dry so if you’re going to party, avoid that section at all costs. Other than that, Wildwood is famous for their two mile long boardwalk and the “tram car” that spans the entirety of it. Like Point, Wildwood has something for everyone. Rides, games and food are the norms here.

All that is left to do now is take a trip down to the shore and the enjoy the beach!

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
