If you're a senior looking back on your four years in college, there are bound to be things that you regret. They may not be huge, life-altering things, but it happens. There are things I wish I had done, places I wish I went to more, places I probably should've gone to less, shots I shouldn't have taken and classes I should have gone to. Despite all these things, I wouldn't change a thing, if not for these 5 things I wish I said more.

1. "Yes."

Yes to that third shot. Yes to going out on a Tuesday with your friends. Yes to going to the gym even though you're tired. Yes to pokey stix at 4 am. Yes to going to something even though you're incredibly hungover. Yes to trying something new. Yes to being spontaneous and adventurous. Yes to staying in. Yes to meeting new people. Yes to embracing being alone. Yes to enjoying the company of others.

2. "No."

No to the third shot you know you shouldn't take. No to going out on a Tuesday because you have a test the next day. No to the gym because you're having a bad day and don't feel like. No to the boy buying you drinks that you have no interest in. No to 'friend' who is taking advantage of your kindness. No to the lazy person in your group project who contributes absolutely nothing. No to constantly comparing yourself to everyone else.

3. "Thank you."

Thank you to your parents, who love you so unconditionally. Thank you to your best friend who always answers your phone calls, no matter how late or how early. Thank you to the teacher who taught the one class that really spoke to you and made going to class enjoyable. Thank you to the people who bring dogs to campus and let you pet them. Thank you to the people who let you follow them to their parking space when you're almost late for class. Thank you to the friends that made this experience what it is.

4. "It's going to be okay."

It's going to be okay if you fail this test. It's going to be okay even if you fight with your best friend. It's going to be okay if you feel lost right now. It's going to be okay even if your boyfriend breaks up with you. It's going to be okay if you don't get that internship you wanted. It's going to be okay even if you made the wrong choice. It's going to be okay, there are more chances. It's going to be okay, there's always tomorrow.

5. "I love you."

I love you, best friend who has never once left my side and is my biggest cheerleader in life. I love you, boy I always had feelings for but never had the courage to tell how I felt. I love you, stranger who I bonded with in the bathroom at Ken's that I will never see again. I love you, mom and dad for your unwavering support. I love you, macaroni and cheese bar at my sorority house, you never let me down. I love you, the one that got away. I love you, $5 loaded coronas before 6 PM at happy hour. I love you, apartment where I lived with my best friends. I love you, sorority house even though you were loud and your alarms went off at 2 AM. I love you, Doak Campbell Stadium. I love you, people who post Quizlets for my classes. I love you, Strozier at midnight on a Tuesday. I love you, my freshman roommate who held my hair as I puked. I love you, to all the people I have met these past few years. I love you, college. I love you, FSU.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies.
