For anyone attending college this year, you know how drastically your study habits change. In high school it was easy to cruise by, studying the night before a test and still ending up with a solid grade. College was a big shock. And don't even get me started on homework. I used to be in bed before midnight, now I'm up until God knows when. Everyone can relate to the five stages we go through when studying.
1. Denial
Pshhhh. I can get all this done Sunday night no problem! It's not even a lot of work it's just a couple chapters in each class what's the big deal? I bet the tests are all multiple choice anyway, I have a 1/4 chance of getting it right! I basically already passed it. I can totally go to Target instead and still have time to get this done.
2. Anger
WHY IS EACH CHAPTER 50 PAGES LONG?!? I have to know this all by Monday?! How do they expect me to spend this much time in one class there are only 24 hours in a day! My brain can't absorb the information this fast. College is stupid, classes are stupid. The Professors don't understand how awful they're being!
3. Bargaining
Okay, okay you got this. If you finish this page, you can have a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup. If you finish this paragraph you can have a phone break! I mean, did you even study if you didn't snapchat it? You totally deserve a break, just finish this sentence!
4. Depression
I (sobs) can't (sobs) do (sobs) this (sobs) anymore! There's so many pages I've barely done anything! What have I done to myself?
5. Acceptance
I guess I'm just going to fail out of school. This is it. I'll be living in a box on the side of the road by midterms. There's nothing I can do to stop it.
Okay maybe that last one is a little dramatic. Pull yourself together kid and grab something with caffeine in it, there are still six more hours till the sun comes up. You can do it, you always do.
