Memorial Day is typically fantasized in people's minds as a long weekend home from school and work when the weather gets nice. BBQ's and beach outings are prominent and common ways of celebrating this free time, but we often forget to remember the true reason our nation observes the last Monday of every May.

This Memorial Day weekend, we must remember to be grateful for this time that we spend with loved ones and close friends because some of the brave men and women who serve our country and their families will not get to do the same. Let's reflect on those who lost their lives defending our freedoms, and also take enjoyment and pride into those courageous soldiers who do eventually find their way home.

So here's my top 5 favorite "Soldiers Coming Home" videos perfect for celebrating this Memorial Day weekend! Try and hold back your tears, I dare you:

1. "This is the most beautiful thing you will ever see"

Rightfully entitled, this compilation video - yes so the more videos the merrier - follows a soldier returning home to his wife and three daughters. Throughout his journey back to the States, other soldiers from all different parts of the country are seen reuniting with loved ones as well, as Daughtry's hit record "Home" plays throughout the tear-soaked hugs and screams. Definitely one to watch!

2. "Dad In A Box"

This particular video is easily the most precious thing I've ever witnessed. The build up of suspense as we watch this little girl open what she thinks is just a "normal" birthday present, finally explodes into a feeling of compassion and happiness when the father-daughter duo are finally in each other's arms once again.

3. "Dogs Welcoming Soldiers Home Compilation"

Let's not forget about the animals! If you thought you wouldn't cry witnessing human to human reactions during reunions of a soldier and their loved ones, you've got another thing coming to you. It's true that these animals are very intuitive, and even they know how to be excited when someone they've missed for so long finally returns home.

4. "Marine surprises his sister on her wedding day"

This one was like watching a mini documentary into this sister's wedding day. A very real and interesting perspective was taken behind the filming of this video and it couldn't be more special to witness.

5. "Soldier Meets Baby for the First Time Compilation"

A sad factor of a parent overseas is the instance of a pregnant wife having to stay home to give birth and raise a child while her husband gets deployed back to his duties. This touching compilation of father's finally getting the opportunity to meet their children months or even years after they were born is incredible.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
