The 2000s was a strange, but magical time. Everyone wore really large and tacky clothing and called it fashion. The Kardashiansweren't dominating the news cycle. Destiny's Child was still a thing! Basically, the world was a better place.
Mariah Carey was still killing it, rappers were actually rapping and American Idol winners were seamlessly breaking into the industry. It was a simpler time. It was an iconic decade.
With all of this goodness, we also had AMAZING music (AND amazing music videos). In fact, most of these songs are so iconic that they can be identified almost immediately by a simple chord, note or badass intro. With this being said, it was a real TASK to narrow this list down to 20 songs, but I pushed through the hardship and compiled some of the cream of the crop.
