One Tree Hill is the greatest show of our generation. Yes, bold statement, but also extremely true. It wasn't on for 9 seasons for being a boring show. Who knew a show about a small North Carolina town could put you through such a roller coaster ride of emotions? One Tree Hill had its fair share of heartbreaking scenes and episodes, but it also had great, uplifting moments as well. It's hard to even make a list narrowing down all of the greatest moments of the greatest show ever, but nonetheless, here it is.
1. "Don't say I never gave you anything."
The beginning of Naley, and the beginning of girls setting standards way too high hoping they would find a guy like Nathan Scott.
2. Lucas declares his love for Brooke.
3. The Boy Toy Auction
I don't really have to spell this one out, do I? So perfect in so many ways.
4. Lucas tells Peyton "It's you".
I know this totally contradicts number 2, but come on, we all know it was Lucas and Peyton from the get-go. They're on the high of just winning the State Championship and it's all just so perfect.
5. Nathan and Haley's Wedding Day
Before sh*t went down and Rachel stole the limo with Cooper, it was a magical day. OTH's greatest couple was making their marriage official and showing everyone that true love exists.
6. Haley's graduation speech
After the crap our girl went through to keep her Valedictorian title, she was killing it with her kickass speech, and then her water breaks. So much going on in such a small amount of time. And we finally get to meet Jamie!
7. The Season 4 finale
It was the end of the days at Tree Hill high, and the end of an era. Everyone signed their name on the River Court and vowed to meet back there in 4 years after college, and it was all just so beautiful.
8. Dan saves Jamie
Dan Scott is out of jail and we're all freaking out a little bit, but when psycho Nanny Carrie kidnaps Jamie from Lindsay and Lucas's sh*t show, (whoops, I mean wedding) Dan saves him from that sketchy motel and we suddenly get a little soft spot for Tree Hill's most infamous resident. Karen's face when she sees him though. Ugh.
9. Peyton meets Lucas at the airport
10. "Zero Is Not A Size"
Brooke Davis > everyone. The Clothes Over Bros campaign turned into a real campaign ran by Sophia Bush who played Brooke Davis and it took a stand on fat shaming and eating disorders, and it was perfect.
11. Deb saves Haley and Jamie from Nanny Carrie
Psycho Nanny Carrie at it again, and Deb Scott comes in clutch with a bottle of wine. Deb Scott for the win, like always.
12. Nathan makes it to the NBA.
With everything Nathan had been through up to this point, it was amazing to see his hard work FINALLY pay off.13. Clay remembers Logan is his son
After Clay's wife died, he blocked out a lot including the fact that he had a son. He reunites with Logan at a psychiatric hospital and the moment he finally remembers its his son, our hearts smiled and cried, and cried some more.
14. Dan Scott's death
You would think that this would be an exciting moment due to the fact that Dan has done some of the most horrific things like KILLING HIS OWN BROTHER, but that was all a thing of the past. He was surrounded by the ones he loved, and Keith was even there to welcome him with open arms. You know you sobbed when Keith said "you're my plus one" as they walked to heaven, COME ON.
15. The final shot in the series finale
The end of the greatest show on TV. So bittersweet, but the ending was perfect. The last shot of Jamie, now a Tree Hill Raven, running onto the court makes this whole show come full circle.
