The 12 Stereotypical Relatives You See Over The Holidays

Every time college kids are home for the holidays, there are without a doubt certain relatives that everyone comes in contact with. Love 'em or hate 'em, they're still family.

1. The aunt who always squeezes your cheeks and gets lipstick all over your face.

Of course we all love our aunts, but sometimes they cause us physical pain which we're not always up for.

2. The cousin who loves to tell you all about their new vegan diet.

"Oh you're having tofu instead of turkey?" Ew.

3. The mom who won't stop taking pictures.

Mom, I know you want to capture every precious moment, but for god's sake, let us open our presents in peace.

4. That one uncle that always gets way too drunk.

At least he provides entertainment for the evening.

5. Your Grandma who won't stop asking about your love life.

Your grandma is probably more concerned about it than you are, to be honest.

6. Grandpa, who falls asleep before dinner is served.

We love ya Gramps, but you're out by 4:00.

7. Your cousin who can't stop bragging about her kids.

Let their accomplishments speak for themselves.

8. Your teenage cousin who clearly thinks they have better places to be.

They sit there all night texting and don't participate in any family conversations.

9. That one cousin that can't accept the fact that they're an adult now.

Sorry, but the kids' table is full!

10. That one relative who has the perfect life, and you can't help but be a little bit jealous.

11. The grandma who slips you fifty bucks when no one is looking.

You can always count on her for a little extra holiday spending money.

12. That one aunt who always gives you the strangest gifts.

You pull out your best acting skills to pretend you like it.

Happy holidays!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
