My brain is a little fried from finals, as are most of my friends in college right now. So as the Christmas season comes upon us, and we will reunite with our pets, here are 12 dogs dressed in Christmas outfits. You probably need to see this right now, no matter who you are.

On the first day of Dogmas my true love gave to me:

1. The Cutest Christmas Hot Dog

https://www.pexels.com/photo/dachshund-dog-wearing...

I mean, what is cuter than a weiner dog wearing a sweater? He looks like he has a been good boy this year. Did you know that the dachshunds were actually bred to scent and chase small animals? Who knew that despite their odd shape they were good at tracking down other creatures.

On the second day of Dogmas my true love gave to me:

2. The Most Helpful American Bulldog

https://www.pexels.com/photo/animal-bulldog-candy-...

This guy is a big help, decorating the tree. American bulldogs, not to be mistaken by their cousin the English Bulldog, are actually quite agile. They were raised as catch dogs, which means they hunted large animals like hogs and cattle.

On the third day of Dogmas my true love gave to me:

3. A Festive Basset Hound

https://www.pexels.com/photo/tan-and-white-basset-...

This little basset hound looks sad, but I bet all those presents under the tree are going to make him happy. Although they always seem droopy because of those floppy ears, those ears have a purpose. Since basset hounds are natural scent chasers, those ears drag on the ground to help the scent get to their nose.

On the fourth day of Dogmas my true love gave to me:

4. A Bernese Mountain Dog Burrito

I think this pup might be a little cold, so someone wrapped them up in a little blanket burrito. Bernese Mountain Dogs are from the Swiss Alps, and were raised as farming dogs.

On the fifth day of Dogmas my true love gave to me:

5. A Good as Gold Golden Retriever

https://www.pexels.com/photo/golden-retriever-776373/

This good golden could melt anyone's heart. It's hard to resist smiling when you meet this breed. Golden Retrievers are the 4th smartest dog breed, and are often used as search dogs, therapy dogs and more.

On the sixth day of Dogmas my true love gave to me:

6. A Tiny Little Frenchie

https://pixabay.com/en/dog-puppy-pet-animals-chris...

This French Bulldog puppy is looking for mischief, but how could you discipline him? French Bulldogs are quite notorious for being playful, and love to have a good time. Makes sense that this little guy is already messing around at such a young age.

On the seventh day of Dogmas my true love gave to me:

7. Sledding Yorkie

https://pixabay.com/en/yorkshire-terrier-dog-chris...

This Yorkshire Terrier is ready to go sledding, or strike a pose or two. I mean look at that paw placement. Yorkies are known for once being ratters, but did you know this breed was the first to be a therapy dog? That's right, a soldier named Bill Wynne found a yorkie in a foxhole during WWII, and named it Smoky. Smoky helped crawl through pipes to run wires through, and even visited hospitals and wounded soldiers.

On the eighth day of Dogmas my true love gave to me:

8. A Reindeer Husky

This reindeer is looking a little, husky? While this Siberian Husky might be dressed as a reindeer, his ancestors once herded them. Huskies were bred to be sled dogs, and carry heavy loads on sleds long distances.

On the ninth day of Dogmas my true love gave to me:

9. A Pleasant Pug

The Christmas season was too much for little pug. It's a good thing he's napping, because pugs need to watch their playtime. Because of being brachycephalic, which means their nose is pushed in more than most dogs, they need make sure that they don't overdo playtime, because it can be hard to breathe.

On the tenth day of Dogmas my true love gave to me:

10. A Dashing Dalmatian

https://www.flickr.com/photos/130046591

Seeing spots? Well this Dalmatian is looking as dashing as ever. Did you know they are born white? Their spots do not show up until they get older.

On the eleventh day of Dogmas my true love gave to me:

11. A Snazzy Shepherd

https://www.flickr.com/photos/153459353

This German Shepherd is quite snazzy in all the lights and garland. These guys are known to be great family pets, but also are great on the job, like being police dogs. They are dedicated to whatever they do.

On the twelfth day of Dogmas my true love gave to me:

12. A CAT?

Well, this is awkward. Had to put this in for the cat lovers. Merry Christmas!

8 Things I Realized After My First Semester In College

Actually, Kylie Jenner, 2018 is the year of realizing things.

The first semester of college is famous for being one of the most difficult transitions of one's young adult life. You're thrown into a completely new area where the majority of the people surrounding you are strangers in an academic environment that's much more challenging then what you've grown accustomed to for the past twelve years. On top of that, you probably share a room with another person (or even multiple people) on the lumpiest "mattress" you've ever slept on.

With this change comes a lot of questions: what do I want to major in? What am I passionate about? Is what I'm passionate about something I'm actually good at? Why does the bathroom smell like cranberry juice and vodka? What is that thing at the bottom of the shower drain?

6 Unrealistic Expectations Society Has For Young Adults

Don't let the thesaurus-inspired vocabularies in our résumés fool you. We're actually just big kids.

Well over four feet tall and 100 pounds in weight, many of us "young adults" of the world still consider ourselves children. Big, working, college-attending, beer-drinking children. We may live on our own, know how to cook noodles, and occasionally use a planner, but don't be fooled; the youthful tendencies that reside within us still make their way into our daily lives. From choosing to stay up until 3:00 a.m. playing video games on a school night to going out in 30 degree weather without a coat, we still make decisions that our parents and grandparents would shake their heads at in disappointment. So why are we expected to know exactly how to be a wise, professional, sensible adult? It's not that we're irresponsible (for the most part, anyway). It's that we are young, inexperienced, and still have the sought-after, enthusiastic mentality that we can do and be whatever we want, which has not yet been tarnished by the reality of the world. These are just a few of the unrealistic expectations that society has for young adults.
