It is that time of the year again, when students across the nation shelter themselves in the library for hours (sometimes days) on end in order to prepare for their midterms. To all of my fellow students out there, good luck and may the best study guide win!

1. The "I totally have this under my control, so there's so need to start studying now" stage

2. The "5 days until my midterm? Psh, I have so much other work I need to do so I will focus on that instead" stage

3. The "I opened my notes and looked at them for 5 minutes, I definitely deserve a break" stage

4. The "Oh crap..." stage

5. The "Oh god, when did we learn this?!" stage

6. The "No, seriously, I don't think we actually learned this" stage

7. The "Okay, okay, I still have 16 hours and 43 minutes, I can relearn this whole topic by then" stage

8. The "My bloodstream has been replaced with copious amounts of caffeine, so I am not sure how I am still alive" stage

9. The "1 hour until the exam and I am still making a study guide" stage

10. The "It's exam time, I can do this" stage

11. And finally, this stage...

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
