Christmas... What a wonderful time of the year. So many fun traditions, things to look forward to, people you get spend time with, etc. There are so many incredible things about this season, but here are the top few.

10. "Oh the weather outside is frightening"

The weather. The snow, the cold... It's all so much better knowing that it's Christmastime. When the snow falls, it feels magical. Whereas, if the snow falls in February; not so much.

9. "Twas the night before Christmas"

All the excitement on Christmas Eve is one of the best parts. Younger siblings, cousins, or even your 20 year-old self waiting anxiously to jump out of bed and run down the stairs screaming, "IT'S CHRISTMAS, IT'S CHRISTMAS!"

8. "Do you hear what I hear?"

The Christmas carols... at last. Oh and don't forget about the carolers. I love the people that actually go door to door singing loud for all to hear. But I will say the Christmas songs seem to be a big hit starting right after Thanksgiving... especially when people like J. Biebs releases a new Christmas album.

7. "Have a holly jolly Christmas"

All the positivity, the happiness, the cheer and bliss that comes for the Christmas season and the day of especially. Everyone is happy and anyone that's not... well, hello Mr. Grinch.

6. "On the first day of Christmas, my true love sent to me..."

Of course the presents. As much as we all talk about how Christmas isn't all about presents, which it isn't... But it is an awesome and fun part of the season. Especially traditions like silly or secret santa.

5. "Now bring us some figgy pudding"

Okay the baking, the cookies, cakes, pies, etc., have to be a highlight of the Christmas season. Whether you decorate with your family as a tradition or bake for presents, it is one of the best parts for sure.

4. "Silent night, holy night, all is calm, all is bright"

There's some kind of majestic feel to the Christmas season. The presence of God, the happiness that lingers, etc. There's something so special about the season.

3. "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas"

The decorations! Ahh one of the best parts of Christmas. The string lights draped around the tree and from wall-to-wall, the nativity scenes outside so many homes, the flashy ornaments, the reindeers and snowmen, too... So much happiness.

2. "Chestnuts roasting on an open fire"

Alright tell me you don't love this picture... You're sitting on the couch with fuzzy socks on, and a warm fluffy blanket watching your favorite Christmas movie and sipping on hot chocolate in a snowman mug with the fireplace lit... Nothing beats it.

1. "Grandma got run over by a reindeer"

Okay probably a bad choice on lyrics, but time with family. Christmas, the holiday season, it brings everyone together. It forces everyone to put the drama and whatever else, behind them and be happy because it's time to spread holiday cheer.
