Concerts are amazing experiences and require lots of necessary preparation in order to maximize their fun. Little things from staying hydrated to closed toed shoes can make or break your experience so its very important to always be prepared. From a dedicated concert enthusiast, here are a few tips to making every live music experience as enjoyable as possible.
1. Water, Water and More Water.
I cannot stress this enough. Dehydration is one of the worst buzz-kills ever, so do yourself a favor and carry a water bottle or two with you. Note: go to the restroom before you leave.
2. Appropriate Attire
Close-toed shoes and hassle-free clothing are a must if you want to avoid bruised feet and discomfort. Concerts are time to let loose, and there isn't time to be worrying about getting stepped on or fixing your outfit.
3. Portable Chargers
With taking pictures, getting directions and recording songs, your phone battery will be drained; portable chargers are extremely convenient at live music events.
4. Meet Your Folks
I cannot tell you how many times I have stuck around at a venue for hours after the concert to wait and see if the artists will come out to greet; plenty of times they actually did show. Talking to and interacting with the artists you look up to is a cool experience and definitely worth the wait. Chances of meeting them is much greater at smaller venues with less popular bands and artists, so if you are ever in the situation, give it a try!
5. Phone Down, Eyes Up
Don't be the person to watch the whole concert through the screen of your phone. Pictures and videos can be great, but the best way to make the most out of a concert is to be in the moment!
