I was just fine living life on my own,
No need for anything from anyone, just alone.
Didn't care much about fortune or wealth,
But if I wanted that, well, I could get it myself.
One day, I decided to go an adventure,
That’s when a met a stranger.
My body felt an odd cheer,
I questioned myself, why was there no fear?
I had yet not seen his face,
But he seemed like a person with grace.
I was standing in a crowd,
But he seemed to stand out.
It rained magic that day,
He approached me, asked me to stay.
I could feel nothing but rejoice,
My heart melted when I heard his voice.
My excitement level was on peak,
We traded numbers the first week.
The conversations felt never ending,
And for once, I was not pretending.
Along with the charm,
He was genuinely very calm.
His personality spoke for respect,
And how can one forget about his intellect.
Every day, I strived for his ‘hey’,
It was the same deal today, tomorrow and yesterday.
He pointed out some of my flairs,
He got me crazy there.
In the mist of the delight,
Something occurred to me this one night.
Thought to myself, what does he think of me?
Was I just like any other fish in the sea?
My cognizance was demanding an answer,
For a little while, it caressed like cancer.
The feeling down my heart felt invisible,
Maybe I was waiting for a miracle.
With every day, the pain grew stronger,
I asked, “How much more longer?”
In the smog on confusions,
I, myself, had to make a conclusion.
Maybe I need to rest, maybe we all need to rest,
He perhaps was a just a guest.
Some questions should remain unfold,
I’m happy that our bond at least is gold.
