There are many words to describe what my mother is to me. Beyond those words, there are many expectations and descriptions behind the word "mother" and I cannot be any more grateful than I am for the one that I was blessed with. Although I may not show it as much as should, I am thankful for my momma, for the amazing woman that she is, and for everything that she has managed to do for me.
Thank you for the endless support that you give me.
If there is one person that I can always count on, it's you. You have been there for me and come through in ways that always seem to amaze me. From supporting me at concerts and sporting events since the moment I started to perform, to being there for me when a boy broke my heart and I felt like the world was ending, you were there for me with that beautiful smile and those comforting hugs of yours. At the end of the day, no matter what my situation is, I know that I have someone who is supporting me and someone who is always going to be my biggest fan.
Thank you for the advice that you have given me and that I will take with me and use forever.
Through the support you have given me, you have also given me some of the best advice that I will forever remember. You have taught me that bad things will happen, but that everything truly does happen for a reason. You have taught me that I will go through absolutely terrible things in life, and although those situations will feel unbearable at the time, that I am strong and capable enough to handle any situation that I may be given. You have taught me to enjoy the time I spend with the people I love because you never know when you will lose someone. You have taught me to always give more than I receive, to be the kindness that I look for in others, and to always be the bigger person. You have taught me so much and I could probably write a whole novel on how much it has impacted me.
Thank you for showing me what unconditional love is.
Plain and simple, you have always made me feel loved and accepted. You are the reason for the big heart that I am proud to have and the reason that I can love unconditionally myself. The unconditional love that you have for me has given me so much strength in my moments of weakness and has reflected onto the love that I have for myself. I could rob a bank and go to prison for the rest of my life, but you would still somehow be there supporting me. You let me know that I am important and that I am cared for, and I cannot thank you enough for that.
Thank you for showing me that I do not need anyone else.
You are the strongest woman that I know, hands down. You have been through the unimaginable but have still been able to come out on top, regardless of any circumstance. You are a superwoman, I swear. One of the most important things that you have taught me is that no other human being can make me happy the way that I make myself happy. True happiness lies within and no one else chooses the way that you feel. Because of you, I have learned that if I am happy on my own, then I can conquer the world. I don't need anyone else.
Thank you for showing me that type of mother I hope to someday be.
The way that you have raised me and the things that you have shown me are things that I hope to pass on to the children that I intend to have in the future. I hope that my future children feel as if I am their best friend, the way that I feel like you are mine. I hope to be at least somewhat as dependent, kind-hearted, and genuine as you have always been. I hope to give people my all, even if maybe they don't deserve it, and make anyone I come into contact with feel important, just as you have always done to others.
Thank you for everything you have done for me and thank you, in advance, for the things that you will continue to do for me. You were made to be my mother and I will always be thankful.
