As the Thanksgiving holiday approaches and our minds are running a million miles per hour with the thoughts of how many guests will be over, how much food will I need need, and how are we going to avoid conversations in controversial topics, our pets--specifically our dogs-- have their own thoughts running through their minds. Here are 11 thoughts your dog is thinking on Thanksgiving day.

1. Why is mom vacuuming up all my hair?

Doesn't she know I'm not a fan of that screaming machine? I don't even shed that much.

2. I can't stop sneezing

The air smells like the lotion bottle I go into a week ago and the scent is coming from fire bowls around the house. What does apple cinnamon mean?

3. The fancy room lights are on

But that's my secret hiding spot.

4. Hello people!

Don't worry, mom, I will greet all the people by jumping on them. And I will continue to jump even when you tell me to "stay down". Wow there are so many people to welcome!

5. What is Dad cooking?

That smells like a Turkey! I will sit right next to him in case he needs an assistant chef or a taste-tester!

6. Small human, this is not what I thought you meant by "play"

I thought you were going to throw the toy, not put it in my ear. Who do you belong to?

7. Everyone is lining up in the kitchen, I guess I'll join

They are all holding circles that look a lot like my dish bowl. How can I get one of those?

8. What is Mom is holding?

It looks fancy.

9. They're saying grace

Here's my chance to blend in and get my piece of Turkey.

10. I wonder what the humans look like at the table

I'm sure I would fit right in

11. Finally found a spot to watch football

Mom is probably proud of me because I let someone else take my normal seat. I don't know what's so interesting about watching a ball been thrown across a field if you can't even go after it yourself.

12. All the humans are napping, I guess I will too

I've finally convinced them all to follow my lead: eat and sleep all day!

13. Did someone say walk?

Two minutes ago all the humans were asleep on the couch and now they want to talk me for a walk!

14. Does this mean I get to wake up and do this again tomorrow?

I liked these days with my humans. Let's do it again!

15. I'm so thankful today!

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
