Times are weird with COVID and we just experienced a major holiday in a different way than we ever have before.
Some people stayed at school to avoid infecting their family, some people only ate with their immediate family, some people included aunts and uncles, some people even took the risk and included their grandparents. However anyone spent their holiday, we can agree that it was different.
I have to say although it was unfortunate that I couldn't be with all of my family, having dinner with just my mom, dad, and brother was very nice. There were some pros; for example, we usually host Thanksgiving and have to clean the house, cook a lot of the food, and decorate. By the end of Thanksgiving meal, while all the guests are still there, I'm usually so exhausted that I take a nap. So, selfishly, it was nice not having to do all of those chores.
I am hopeful that next year we can have Thanksgiving again in a normal way.
