Thanksgiving break is a crucial moment during the fall semester. It is a much needed, and for the most part, a much-deserved break from exams, homework and the chaos that is everyday life as a college student. Deciding on plans can be rather difficult sometimes, but fear not! Sit back, relax and leave the rest up to fate.

Aries (March 21 - April 19)

Giphy

Aries are adventurous, competitive and love to see new places. The best way to spend your break is taking a road trip! Get some friends together and go somewhere new. If you're craving some friendly competition and a change of scenery, attend a football game for a team you've never watched before!

Taurus (April 20 - May 20)

Giphy

As a Taurus, you enjoy being low-key and in your comfort zone. Your ideal Thanksgiving break is to keep things traditional! Avoid the crowds and spend some quality time with your family while you stuff your face.

Gemini (May 21 - June 20)

Giphy

Gemini's are symbolized through twins so it isn't surprising that you get bored easily. Shake things up this year and host Thanksgiving at your place! This allows you to have the spotlight and keeps you busy while entertaining yourself and your loved ones!

Leo (July 23 - August 22)

Giphy

Being a Leo means you love all things flashy and sophisticated. You are outgoing and have a very bold personality. Even though it's Thanksgiving break, you still want to enjoy yourself and the fancy things this life has to offer! Go to a high-end restaurant or a cocktail party and afterward, enjoy a night out on the town!

Virgo (August 23 - September 22)

Giphy

Virgo's live off of the structure. The word 'break' is not in your vocabulary. You genuinely enjoy staying on top of things and organizing your planner for things ahead! Try to switch gears from school and focus on Thanksgiving. If you can't sit still, help plan your families dinner party, cook or even decorate!

Cancer (June 21 - July 22)

Giphy

As a Cancer, you enjoy being a caregiver, but instead of going overboard this year just take a break. You can get carried away sometimes because you tend to be a people pleaser so use this Thanksgiving break as an opportunity to binge watch shows you haven't caught up on yet. Do the ole "Netflix and Chill" while also binge eating leftovers!

Scorpio (October 23 - November 21)

Giphy

Take advantage of this time and let yourself relax. In general, Scorpio's do things very intensely but also, have little patience which causes you to have stress. Decompress and recuperate this Thanksgiving break! Go to the spa, get your nails done, fix your hair and maybe even do a little retail therapy. This is your time to shine!

Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21)

Giphy

You are a risk taker! Being a Sagittarius is always an adventure because you are optimistic and spontaneous! This Thanksgiving break, the outdoors are calling your name. Your idea of a perfect time is exploring the outdoors and discovering new places to get into. Grab a friend and go hiking! If you're really feeling it, extend your stay and go camping!

Capricorn (December 22 - January 19)

Giphy

Capricorn's are very ambitious and love a good challenge. This year, challenge yourself by cooking Thanksgiving dinner! You are not afraid to get your hands dirty and show everyone you can do it. At times, it's easy for you to be hard-headed, so don't forget that it's okay to let others help you! Make this a time to learn a family recipe or even make a new one! Be creative!

Libra (September 23 - October 22)

Giphy

With the Libra symbol being a scale, you have a need to feel balanced in your life. Family is important to you but so are your friends. Solution: go home and see them both! The perfect Thanksgiving break for you would be to spend time with your family while, also, having a few movie nights with your friends from home. This way, you have a balanced scale!

Aquarius (January 20 - February 18)

Giphy

You are a trendsetter. Being an Aquarius means you are open minded and have a desire for freedom. You love to shop for new clothes and now that there's a shift in the weather, what better way to spend your break than a little sweater shopping? Indulge in some retail therapy and treat yourself to some Black Friday deals!

Pisces (February 19 - March 20)

Giphy

It's no shock that Pisces love the beach. Your ideal vacation is always somewhere close to the water and it's been too long since summer. This Thanksgiving break, take a relaxing trip down to the beach! No, it isn't bikini weather, but you can get cozied up in a sweater, make a fire and lay outside listening to the waves and watching the night sky for shooting stars.

28 Daily Thoughts of College Students

"I want to thank Google, Wikipedia, and whoever else invented copy and paste. Thank you."

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
