A simple thank you.

Thank you to all of my family that has supported me through my endeavors to chase the career I've chosen. You have stuck by the past few years and really pushed me when I needed it.

Thank you to my boyfriend, Joseph, who challenges me daily and supports me through all of my decisions. Also for being a huge rock whenever I got down on myself. I'm very grateful for you. I never know what to say to show you how appreciative I am, but here ya go.

Thank you to my girl gang, who is always just a message away when things are looking hard.

Thank you to my department, who checks in with me to make sure my experience is going well, and also challenges me to do the best at the academy.

Thank you to the professors I've had who made me really look into what I wanted my life to look like, years from now.

Thank you to my best friends, Tai and Ashley. I know I don't see y'all anymore, and we don't talk every day, but you girls know that you're my girl group and my go to.

A huge thank you to my mom and stepdad, for being my rocks when I need it and for making me push myself every day. For both being there when I changed majors, pushing me to strive for different agencies, and supporting me no matter where my future takes me. I'm very blessed to have you both.

Thank you to my baby brother for being a little ass to me, but also to making me laugh when I needed it; for being a nuisance and trying to teach me patience, but also for being a little sappy when I needed it. You're the bomb, even though you're the biggest pain in my ass.

I am very blessed to have the support system that I do have, and I wouldn't trade them for anything. No, not everyone is mentioned, but those who have been there for me know who they are. They know that I am grateful and appreciative.

How often do you thank your support system? Should you do it more often? Tomorrow is never promised, so take a minute to tell them today.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.

For many undergraduates across the nation, the home stretch has begun. Only one more semester remains in our undergraduate career. Oh, the places we will go! For the majority of college seniors, this is simultaneously the best and worst year out of the past four and here’s why.

1. The classes you are taking are actually difficult.

A schedule full of easy pottery throwing and film courses is merely a myth on the average campus. With all of those prerequisites for the upper-level courses and the never-ending battle you fight each year during registration for limited class seats, senior year brings with it the ability to register for the final courses you need to fulfill your major. Yet, these are not the easy entry level courses. These are the comprehensive, end of major, capstone courses designed to apply the knowledge from all your previous courses, usually in the form of an extensive research paper or engaged learning project. The upside is you actually probably really enjoy these classes but alas there is no room for slackers here.
