Dear my grandparents,

I know that life is crazy and sometimes it doesn't seem like I spend that much time with or that I would rather be hanging out with friends. I just want you to know that I have not forgotten about you. I can remember everything that we have done together and all the memories. I just want y'all to know that I cherish every single memory that we have had together and the memories that we are going to make. But, there is one thing that I want to do and that is saying Thank You.

Thank you for the countless beach trips that we have been on together. From all the sandcastles to now all the talking while enjoying the waves rolling in and the sand between our toes. I can remember when I was younger and I cried over a 2 flower pink and purple picture frame that said "best friends" on it at Captain Anderson's in Panama City. I asked mom if I could get it and put mine and paw-paw's picture in it since we were obviously best friends and I can remember her telling me "no". I was completely heart broken because I thought if I didn't have that picture frame that we weren't going to be friends anymore. I got to the car and you could tell that I was upset. So you (paw-paw) took me back into the gift shop and got it for me. That trip ended with me getting the picture frame and also a shirt that said "Baleigh and Paw-Paw, Best Friends Forever".

Thank you for all the countess trips shopping. Y'all know how much I love shopping and my obsession with clothes and shoes. Y'all are probably the reason why I have so much but, that is okay with me. Just a little hint, I could use more clothes.

Thank you for introducing me to Grey's Anatomy, The Outdoor Channel, Ghost Whisper, and ESPN. Nana you are the reason that I am in love with Grey's Anatomy, we started watching it together when it first came out in 2005 and we are still watching it til this day. Paw-paw, we have been watching hunting and fishing for the past 20 years and you have taught me what I know today. I still remember that night that the Braves were playing and you made the joke for me to let you what happened in the game the next morning. So, I grabbed a pencil and a piece of paper and watched the whole game while writing down play by play. I think that was the last time that you told me to let you know what happened in game.

Thank you for always having confidence in me. Y'all have always been there for me and have always told me that I can do anything in life. I remember when I told y'all that I was going to try out for The Voice and y'all told me that I could do anything that I set my mind too. Nana, you went with me to Nashville to try out and after the try out, you told me that you were super proud of me and I am grateful for that.

Thank you for all the love and for everything that you do for me. There isn't enough thank you's in this world to cover everything that y'all do for me. I know that there are times that I don't say thank you or that I seem like I'm not grateful but, I am. Y'all have done so much for me in these 20 years that I have been on this year and I am so thankful for every single one of them. Thank you for everything in the past, present, and future. I love y'all so very much!

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

The world is not always sunshine and rainbows, and you do not have to be, either.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.
