A Thank You To My Team

A Thank You To My Team

As a transfer student packing for move-in day, I prepared for my second "freshman" year of college. I worried about adjusting to another new campus and making new friends. I worried about facing the fear and anxiety I felt the previous year all over again. I had hopes and dreams about my "college experience" and how incredible it would be to finally feel like my university was my "home." What I didn't know at the beginning of this academic year was that I was about to experience all of these hopes and dreams.

All of the fear and anxiety I was convinced I would once again struggle with slowly disappeared as I became familiar with campus and found clubs/organizations to join. One of the most important being the Hunt Seat Equestrian Team. As my first semester went on, I found myself happier than ever. I was making friends and finally experiencing what I had missed out on the year before.

As my second semester here at The Ohio State University comes to a close, I want to thank my team. I want to thank my team for welcoming me with open arms, for being familiar faces to see across campus. I want to thank my team for the smiles and laughs, for the lifelong friendships, and for being a source of support, both inside and outside of the ring. I have finally found my home-away-from-home, and for that, I want to thank my team. Because without my team, my second family, finding "home" would not have been possible.

Until next fall, O-H..I-O.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
