You have no idea the impact you have on my life.

Thanks To My 'Cheerleaders'
Fiona McGrath Nagle

This one is for those who are always there for me. The ones that choose to be my supporters and cheerleaders. The ones that put a smile on my face whenever I see or think about them. The ones that I cry about when I have not seen them in forever and I miss so much. Most of them probably have no idea what kind of impact on my life they have. *Side note: I'm definitely going to cry while I write this.

Thanks to best cheerleaders in the world. Thanks for always being there for me whenever I needed someone to talk to. You always know what to say or do. Even if you have no idea what to say you always comfort me somehow.

*cue the waterworks now*

Thank you for...

...giving me a hug on my last day of high school while whispering in my ear "this isn't goodbye, we'll stay in contact." I thank you very much!

...being there to rub my back when I couldn't stop crying during homecoming week my senior year when my Poppop died. I thank you very much!

...reassuring me when I didn't get into the program at my dream school. That it was OK and had no real reflection on how good I am at what I want to do with the rest of my life. I thank you very much!

...being there after my last "Nutcracker" performance to make sure I was doing OK. Letting me know you were thinking about how I must have been feeling it being my last "Nutcracker," since you had felt similar feelings the year before. The big hug you gave me stays with me till this day. And I thank you very much!

...just being there for me every day before school to hang out with. To talk to about what going on in my life. You didn't even have to respond to what I was saying; I just needed someone to listen. I thank you very much!

...always having a smile on your face. It always makes my day. Your smile especially helps when I've been having a not so good day. And I thank you very much for it!

....saying hello or waving hi to me. Just like smiling and saying hello or waving hi always makes my day. They can help not so good days become a little bit better. I thank you very much!

...calming me down about finals because I had worried myself sick. Your words of encouragement seriously helped me realize that I could do it, and there wasn't really anything I needed to worry about. And thank you very much!

...being the silent cheerleader. You might have never done anything for me, but you have always been there waiting on the "sidelines" in case I needed you. I thank you very much!

...always being excited when you see me. Even if it's only been a day or two to it being weeks since the last time we saw each other, your always excited to see me. Which makes me feel great knowing someone's always happy to see me. I thank you very much!

Those are just a few things that I am thankful for. It's really hard to express all my words of thanks when you all mean so much to me. Honestly words can't even begin to explain how thankful I am for you to have all been a part of my life in some way or another. I'm just extremely thankful for you being you and for you always being here for me whenever I needed you!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart,

The person you're always there for

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
