A Thank You To My Roommate

Dear Roomie,

It is kind of weird how we know each other, you are my ex's sister. Anytime I tell somebody that I room with my ex's sister they always give me a crazy look and then say "is that not weird and awkward?". It really isn't though. We don't let past things like that bother our relationship with each other and plus you were on my side anyways when it came to the breakup between your brother and I. We have a great time together and there is never a dull moment. But I am so thankful for you and our relationship.

Thank you for still moving in with me after your brother and I broke up. Most normal people would have said no about moving in with there brother's ex girlfriend. You however did not let it bother you one bit. Not once have you ever treated me any differently nor been mean or rude to me. So thank you for taking the risk of moving in with me.

Thank you for all the midnight food runs. From driving all the way to Anderson to get Krispy Kreme at one o'clock in the morning to the NUMEROUS Taco Bell and Cook Out runs. Oh and I can't forget about the midnight Walmart trips too. Like I said there is never a dull moment with us.

Thank you for including me in your life. You literally never leave me out. You always ask me to go places with you even if you know I won't know anybody at the party or get together! You never forget about me. You always ask if I need anything from the store or if you go on a food run without me you always ask if I want something.

Thank you for bringing so much joy and fun into my life. Before I moved out with you I was such a shy person. But you are a big part of the reason I have grown out of that. You are such a fun and loving person and I am so glad I have you in my life.

Thank you for always standing up for me when I don't do it for myself. Anytime someone feels as though they can walk all over me, you're always there to back me up. Or whenever some chick wants to be mean and call me dirty names you are always there. I feel as though you would go to the moon and back for me, which I would do the same for you.

Thank you for being the best roommate ever. I cannot picture my life without you in it.

P.S.

Thanks for paying the bills on time and bringing another pup into the house boo.

Love you lots.

-Your Roommate

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
