Thank you.
I know I don't say it nearly enough, but I really do mean it. You're my rock and you've always been there for me. I've taken all that for granted over the years, so in an attempt to show my gratitude, I've decided to write this thank you letter.
Thank you for always being there for me when I got hurt. I know, that happens often; there was always scraped knees, bumps and bruises, or tears that needed attention. So, thank you for taking care of me and always trying to protect me from getting hurt. Thank you for making me pudding and jello when I had my wisdom teeth out, thank you for all the soup when I was sick, and thank you for all those mental health days you let me take (even when Dad said no). But, also, thank you for wiping my tears and letting me know when I had to suck it up and telling me I was being dramatic.
Thank you for driving me anywhere I wanted to go. Looking back, I know you didn't say no nearly as often as you said yes; I took it all for granted. I'm thankful that I have a mother who would drop everything for me. Thank you for being the bad guy and not letting me run wild. Thank you for instilling values, morals, and discipline in me. Thank you for being my advocate and always talking me up to friends and family. I hear the way you talk about me, I can hear the love and the pride in your voice. That makes me want to do well, it makes me push harder to make you more proud, so thank you for that.
Thank you for being my perfect role model of everything I should be. I'm extremely lucky to have such a strong, beautiful, and caring mother. Without your love and support, I would not be the person I am today. You've given me a strong work ethic and taught me the difference between right and wrong. Not only am I thankful that you're my mother, role model, and friend, but Im proud to be called your daughter.
Thank you.
Love, Your Grateful Daughter
