Thanks, Friends

College is cool. The friends you make at college are cooler.

Thanks, Friends

They say that your college friends will be your friends for life, and I sincerely hope that's true. The friends that I made throughout my freshman year are unlike any other. They are my home, my rocks, my confidants and the best people that I have in my life. I couldn't imagine making it through my first year at college without them, they truly made it the best year of my life. I never would have imagined that I would meet people who would give me separation anxiety only days after we left for the summer.

So, here's to you guys. You rock.

Thank you for dealing with my many mental breakdowns.
Whether it was during finals week, or just because, you never thought I was insane (or you did, and you just kept it to yourself), and you nursed my mental state back to health. I would not have made it through two semesters of college if it weren't for you. Through the random spurts of crying and wanting to drop out, you kept me in one piece and got me through millions of tests and projects.

Thank you for making me laugh when I really needed it.
Somehow, no matter what mood I was in or how I was feeling, you always managed to make me laugh. You could always put a smile on my face and make me feel better, even if just for a minute. You have no idea how much that meant to me.

Thank you for always going out with me and making the best memories.
So many random, crazy, hilarious memories were made that I will never forget. ("I think I broke my ankle like that guy.")

And thank you for not going out with me when I knew you really wanted to.
Sometimes, you just want to stay in, put your hair up and eat pizza. And sometimes, you really wanted to go out when I really didn't, but you stayed and kept me company anyways, so thank you for that.

Thank you for binge-eating with me, without judgement.
Pizza, Easy Mac, Milano cookies, you name it. We tag-teamed it.

Thank you for keeping me company in the library.
Although we may not have gotten much done most of the time, you made it a little more bearable.

Thank you for listening to me rant.
You may have been pretending to listen, but that still meant a lot. Thanks for that.

Last but not least, thank you for sticking around.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
