Dear 2018 Milwaukee Brewers,
On behalf of the entire fan base and city of Milwaukee, I want to offer a big "THANK YOU." You gave life to the city and fan base that hasn't come around since 2011. The amount of Brewer fans that stayed loyal through all the tough years finally paid off. This years' run was a magical feeling run. Whether it was the game 163 win at Chicago to clinch the division title to the sweep of the Rockies in the NLDS. There were plenty of exciting times.
Some of my best memories of 2018 came from watching you guys play and compete on a daily basis. You made the fan base come together and whenever you went to the ballpark you could feel all the energy that was given off. There were many games that I attended where you could feel the change in the atmosphere even from last year. It just felt totally different especially at the end of the year.
Whenever any fans went to the ballpark we could feel how freely every player played. As a fan that really shows how much you guys were having fun and didn't feel any pressure from outside sources. When you were 5 games back of the Cubs for the division race to start the month of September there was no sense of panic. You all just took care of business and then won game 163.
I was at game 163 and all I can say is "thank you" again because being a Brewer fan at Wrigley Field and having the Cubs lose the division title was AMAZING. I stayed in Wrigley Field until an usher came around and said you need to leave now, and that wasn't just me who did that. It seemed like almost every Brewer fan there was staying as long as possible. I'll never forget the look of disgust on all the Cubs fans walking out of. It is something I will cherish for a very long time.
In the end, it didn't end the way we all wanted it to end, but it was a hell of a ride to be on, and speaking on the behalf of all Brewers fan I think I can safely say that we are all very excited for the bright future this team has.
Sincerely,
Brewers Fans
