Happy Thanksgiving! Here are five of my favorite quotes that remind me to be thankful and appreciate the little things in life. There is so much to be grateful for.

1. “The more you thank life, the more life gives you to be thankful for.” -Unknown

If you have a positive outlook on life, like will reward you and give you even more good things to appreciate.

2. “I’m thankful for my struggle, because without it I wouldn’t have stumbled across my strength.” -Alex Elle

This has been especially true for me during my most difficult semester of college. I have faced so many struggles, but they have shown me how strong I am and how much I am able to handle.

3. “The beauty of life is in each precious moment. Stop and smell the roses!” -Unknown

Life gets busy and it is easy to forget about the little things. Stop to smell the flowers, it only takes a few minutes to appreciate the little blessings in life.

4. “The secret to having it all is knowing that you already do.” -Unknown

You can always want a bigger house, a better grade, more clothes, more friends, and so on. You are alive and you have people that love you unconditionally… in my opinion, you couldn’t ask for anything more.

5. “It is not happy people who are thankful. It is thankful people who are happy.” -Unknown

If you are thankful, you will be happy about all that you have.

Happy Thanksgiving!

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated.
