To My Best Friend

I am thankful for you, just in case you forgot

To My Best Friend
Maggie Kallock

We all have those people that we turn to when nothing seems to be going right. The ones that we know will understand and will always be there. But chances are, they haven't been thanked in a while. Make sure to remind them that you appreciate everything that they do and that they are loved.

Dear Best Friend,

THANK YOU FOR ALWAYS BEING DOWN FOR A GOOD TIME

I can always count on you to go on some crazy adventure or simply find ways to waste time. I wouldn't want to aimlessly drive around, travel to Florida, get in trouble, or make stupid memories with anyone else.

THANK YOU FOR LISTENING TO MY RANTS AND MANY MANY "PROBLEMS"

Although most of them weren't life threatening or too traumatic, you were always there to listen and offer your best advice. I honestly do not know what I would have done without you beside me, getting me through both the good and bad times.

THANK YOU FOR BEING WEIRD WITH ME

I mean... we both know that I am nuts. I was just lucky enough to find someone who not only puts up with my craziness, but more often than not, adds to it. You never fail to make me laugh.

THANK YOU FOR HAVING THE SAME UNDENIABLE LOVE FOR FOOD AS I DO

Do I even need to elaborate on this one... We never have anything better to do so I appreciate our food dates.

THANK YOU FOR YELLING AT ME WHEN I'M BEING DUMB

You know exactly what to say and how to handle any and every situation. I am grateful to have someone who genuinely has my best interest at heart. I would be nowhere without your guidance.

THANK YOU FOR JAMMING WITH ME IN THE CAR

Neither of us can sing... at all. But you can bet that whenever we are in the car together that a concert (including fabulous dance moves) is about to begin.

THANK YOU FOR BEING MY PERSON

You are the Meredith Grey to my Christina Yang and I wouldn't have it any other way. You understand me on a level that many others can't and I am truly blessed to have you in my life.

Love, me

P.S. I miss you

girl with a hat

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

Because we made it, and because high school seniors deserve to know what they're getting themselves into

too tired to care

We've all been there. From move-in day to the first finals week in college, your first term is an adventure from start to finish. In honor of college decisions coming out recently, I want to recap some of the most common experiences college freshmen experience.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!
