Holiday season is upon us and I would just like to take the time to express what I am thankful for.

1. My mother

I wouldn't be here with out her, literally. Words could never really show how thankful I truly am for everything you have done for me and everything you have taught me in life. I know you are in heaven smiling down and are so proud of me. I love you to the moon and back.

2. My father

I have learned so many things from you that nobody else could ever teach me. I value our relationship way more than you probably know. I enjoy our conversations and you always letting me vent about anything and everything. I love you and am so grateful for you.

3. My Grandma

She's always been my best friend even when we don't agree. She has been my rock for almost the past 4 years after I lost my mom and I could never re pay her for all that she has helped me with.

4. My boyfriend

Oh how thankful I am to have someone as wonderful as you in my life. You always do your absolute best to keep a smile on my face. I'm so beyond thankful for your endless love. Forever and always.

5. My siblings

Even though we don't always see things the same way or agree with all situations, they are still my siblings. I will always love them the same. Nothing could ever change that. I'm blessed to have such funny, good looking and caring siblings.

6. My nephew

Oh boy does that little one bring such joy and happiness to my life. He is such a ham and I just love him dearly. I find such amazement in watching him grow up. I love you little man!

7. My Aunt Virginia

She is truly one of a kind. Forever telling me how much she loves me even when I don't love myself. She sees nothing that I do to be wrong. She may be a handful sometimes, but I wouldn't trade her for anything in the world. I love her so much.

8. My Godmother

You could probably never understand how much our conversations mean't to me. You also probably could never understand what you truly mean't to me. I can't thank you enough for always helping me and pushing me to keep going. Thank you for being my go to when mommy died. It killed me to loose both you and mommy within months. I know you are together in heaven and always watching down. I know how proud you are of me and I know how much you love me.

9. My fairy Godmothers

God works in ways I don't know, but what I do know is he put you both in my life for a reason. You have helped me become the person I am today and have always motivated me since the day we met. You were not just my teacher and we both knew it from the start. I love you both madly!

10. My stepmom

You didn't have to love me, you didn't have to always be there for me, but you do and you are. I know it wasn't easy sometimes and I can't express enough how much it all means to me or how it really makes me feel. You are an amazing, intelligent and sincere women and I thank you for always taking care of Daddy and the family. I love you!

11. My cousins Zoe and Madison

Growing up with you girls was like having two more little sisters. I would do absolutely anything in my power to make sure you are both content and happy. Thank you for adding so much laughter to my life and loving me always. I love you both so much more then you know.

12. My pets

They show so much love and affection. We sometimes take for granted how much our pets need us and love us. They are like my children and I would do anything for them. I love my fur babies!

13. Life

Life is not promised and I find that so many take life for granted. I am so grateful every day for the life I was handed even though it has not always been an easy road. I am truly content with every thing that I have and every thing that I do not have.

14. God

I am so thankful for God who loves me, guides me, protects me and is always there for me. I'm thankful for every single day you give me to live and continue to reach my goals. Thank you for loving me more than words could ever possibly describe.

girl with a hat

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. Recently I completed my freshman year of college, and boy, what an experience. It was a completely new learning environment and I can't believe how much I learned. In an effort to save time, here are the ten biggest lessons I learned from my first year of college.

1. Everyone is in the same boat

For me, the scariest part of starting school was that I was alone, that I wouldn't be able to make any friends and that I would stick out. Despite being told time and time again that everyone had these same feelings, it didn't really click until the first day when I saw all the other freshman looking as uneasy and uncomfortable as me. Therefore, I cannot stress this enough, everyone is feeling as nervous as you.
