Honestly, failure isn't so bad.
People often think the worst thing that can happen to them in life is
to fail at something. I would have to disagree. Yes, failing at
something sucks...so much. However, it makes you appreciate the things
you succeed at in life.
Whether it's failing a test, failing to get the guy to go on a date
with you, failing to ask out a pretty girl in class, or failing and
not getting a job position that you got your hopes up for and really
wanted, the feeling of failure is gut wrenching.
And what is even worse, is classifying yourself as a failure. Often
times people think of all the things that they have done wrong, missed out on, or not succeeded in, rather than the aspects of life that they flourish in.
Failure is something that only makes you better. Many people put their heads down and wallow in their unsuccessful endeavors. But failure isn't meant for that. It's meant for something so much more. It's meant to make you realize how great you are and that with a little more effort, you become stronger than you previously work and more confident in all that you do.
I know that everyone has experienced failure or a let down at least once in their life. That's okay! It just means you're human and proves the saying "nobody is perfect" to be true.
Use your failures and turn them into success stories. Don't be
defeated by them. Don't be the person to allow failure to overcome
you, but instead, persevere. When one door closes, another always opens.
Just know, if you're not failing, you're not trying hard enough. If you aim at nothing, you will hit it every time. Aim at something big, and do not be afraid of missing. Get back up, and try again.
Truly thankful for failure, because it makes a person stronger, wiser, and much more thankful for the success when it is reached. Besides, who doesn't like working a little extra harder for something? Makes it all worth while!
