You don't know what having a real best friend feels like until you have a sister. It's a sleepover-every-night type of friendship -- with the occasional stealing of sweaters and scarves. You get angry, then you get civil, and then you go to the mall together to shop for some new clothes (that they will soon take next week). But that doesn't interfere with the unbreakable bond that you have with each other. At the end of the day, she's the one you watch that Netflix series on the couch with while eating a giant bowl of peanut butter cup ice cream. And nothing makes you happier because she, of all people, will never judge. She knows you more than anyone of your friends and has been through it all with you. And no matter how much you have fought growing up, there are things to thank your sister for.
Thank you for...
1. Driving me places before I got my license.
Even when you didn't want to.
2. Your clothes.
Even when you didn't say "yes."
3. The best advice for outfits, prom dresses, high school, and boys.
4. Always having my back.
Even when I was wrong.
5. Hanging out with me.
6. Watching Disney movies and "The Parent-Trap" with me.
7. Showing me your new favorite songs.
So we can jam out to them on our way to the gym.
8. Loving me through my middle school awkward stage.
9. Trusting me with your secrets and keeping mine.
10. And most importantly, for being my best friend and role model.
