Throughout the time spent with my boyfriend, we have encountered many obstacles ranging from my transition from male to female, the distance between us, and my eating disorder. Like any other couple we have our bad days, but overall I would say the good days overpower the negative experiences we face. In any long-term relationship, I believe it can become difficult to show appreciation for what our spouse does for us because we grow used to having unconditional support and love from this person. Although I also believe that this is a key factor in a stable healthy relationship. If it is neglected it can often cause the other party to feel as if they do not matter or the person no longer wants to be with them. It's not every day that I thank my boyfriend for all he has done for me.
