Thank you, women of the world.
Thank you for showing your support and your unyielding desire for change through the women's marches of 2017. The women's marches were a series of political rallies that took place in cities around the globe. The biggest was held in Washington, D.C., which shattered records with an estimated 500,000 person turn out. These marches promoted not only women's rights, but the rights of immigrants and LGBTQ+ citizens, while also addressing racial inequalities, Black Lives Matter, and environmental issues.
Seeing women all across the world come together for a common purpose gave me hope. Hope that what may seem impossible to one, becomes very possible when we unite. Everyone has the power to change the world, and by rallying together we become powerful and develop a voice that no one, not even Donald Trump, can silence. More than half of the country was displeased with the election results, and I can't even express how proud I am that we are fighting back and making our voices heard.
Here are a few heartwarming pictures of the brave and strong men and women that marched for the rights of everyone, guaranteed to give you the chills.
