To The Fam,

Squad, fam, gang, groupchat, enemies, moms, friends, whatever I may call you or whatever we may call ourselves, I owe you all a very large thank you. The last few years of my life have been far from easy because high school was a rough time, especially on the social aspect of it all. I never seemed to be accepted by those around me, always laughed at yet never laughed with. This meant that coming to college I was terrified to meet new people and get stuck in the same situation that I was in in high school.

Thanks to the internet, I wasn't going into college completely alone. Through chatting apps and Skype calls galore, this group of people and I shared friendship that I had tried for years to build in high school with the people I was surrounded by. In only a few short months, I had never felt more comfortable talking to a group of people before in my life. Sadly, that confidence quickly faded when we met and the reality hit me that we no longer were through computer screens. In person, I was intimidated just because I was so overwhelmed by the change that was going on around me. But soon I realized that this friendship was real and that I had found my forever friends.

Throughout these first semesters here at college, I have had the time of me life, thanks to you guys. We always have our crazy times when we leave the dorms that we will never forget but sometimes, the nights we stayed in were the ones that will stay with me. I will never be able to forget the late nights of stuffing our faces with whatever we could find, listening to one of Paige's many bomb playlists, talking our ears off, coloring in "Adult" coloring books or watching another episode of Grey's or Bob's Burgers. I will never forget the times spent in those rooms because those are the times that I could 100% be myself know that although I may not be necessarily laughing with you guys for the stupid thing that I just said, I know that you would never laugh at me the way that others have.

You guys are my forever friends. Yes of course, there have been ups and downs thanks to late nights that we don't always want to speak of but no matter what's going on, I always know that I can run to you guys when I need a friend to talk to, shoulder to cry on, or someone to tell my latest joke or pun to. Thank you for giving me this. Trying to put all of this into words, I can't find them to tell you guys how much I appreciate all that you have done for me in the past year. So I'll end this with a big ole I love you and can't wait to see what the future has in store for us.

Love,
The Potato and Donut Enthusiast.

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
