A Thank You To My Best Friends

To My Dearest Friends:

I would just like to thank you for everything. I know I don't tell you how thankful I am for you all of the time like I should, but I'm sure you know that I would be absolutely lost without you. So thank you for always having my back, even when I'm not always right.

Thank you for always being down to go on pointless drives with me, with sometimes no destination in mind, just to talk, or vent, or even to get a slushy, blast music, and sometimes yell out to random people we see. There is never a dull moment.

Thank you for warning me about the bad guys, and not hating me when I try talking to them anyways. Along with letting me learn my own lesson in relationships were I waited way too long to dump the guy. Most of the time you were right, but sometimes I have to learn on my own, so thank you for sticking by my side.

Thank you for agreeing with me that my enemies are also your enemies, and they're as bad as I think they are (even if they really aren't).

Thank you for always making me feel better about myself when I'm feeling down. Thank you for wiping away the tears, telling me everything is going to be alright, and trying to tell me I look okay when I look like a mess.

Thank you for always being fun even when we're sitting at home doing nothing, but just being idiots.

Thank you for spending countless straight days with me, even if we do get a little sick of each other after a few days of being together nonstop, though once we're not together I'm bored again.

Thank you for going out with me even when you don't want to do anything

And thank you for being my best friend. I couldn't do it without ya.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

Everybody gets sick once in a while, but getting sick while in college is the absolute worst. You're away from home and your mom who can take care of you and all you really want to do is just be in your own bed. You feel like you will have never-ending classwork to catch up on if you miss class, so you end up going sick and then it just takes longer to get better. Being sick in college is really tough and definitely not a fun experience. Here are the 15 stages that everyone ends up going through when they are sick at college.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!

There is nothing quite like family.

Family is kinda like that one ex that you always find yourself running back to (except without all the regret and the angsty breakup texts that come along with it).
