A Thank You Letter To My Boyfriend

Because I do not say "thank you" enough.

A Thank You Letter To My Boyfriend

As we approach our five year anniversary, I just wanted to say thanks. Words do not even come close to how much of an impact you have had on my life.

Thank you for loving me even when I do not look the prettiest.

You're probably the only person who I feel comfortable wearing no make-up around. Even though I love getting dressed up, it is so comforting knowing that I can see you with sweats and no make-up on (literally).

Thank you for supporting me in doing what I love.

Even though I cry and complain about being an English major, you motivate me to want to do better in school every day. You always support me even when I feel like giving up in doing what I love.

Thank you for being my rock when I have my meltdowns.

I tend to have my meltdowns every so often but you're always there for when I feel the most upset.

Thank you for watching Netflix shows with me.

I have to say that the best dates are the ones where we binge watch shows on Netflix.

Thank you for being patient.

No other guy would be able to deal with me and I applaud you for having the patience that you have with me every day.

Thank you for being part of my family.

It makes me so happy that you have become part of my family and that you love each and every family member as much as I do.

Thank you for being my shopping partner.

Of course, I love to shop with my girlfriends, but you also make shopping fun. What other guy would come to the mall with me when he does not have to?

Thank you for telling me when I'm wrong.

If it weren't for you, I would most likely think I'm right all the time. Thanks for letting me know when I'm not right.

Thank you for loving the city as much as I do.

It means a lot when two people share the same amount of love for a place like the city. It will always hold a special place in my heart.

Thank you for being the best person to eat sushi with.

Because you know how obsessed I became with sushi ever since you told me to try it.

Thank you for embracing my culture.

We come from two different backgrounds but you have become just as Italian as I am.

Thank you for letting me cry.

Even though I tend to be very emotional, you let me have my crying sessions, while another man would probably not.

Thank you for being an amazing chef.

I can't wait to help cook more meals with you in the future, even though you're the better chef.

But most of all...

Thank you for being you.

I never thought men like you had existed until I met you. You turned my world upside down and brought me on adventures that I thought I would never go on. You're my other half and without you, I would not feel complete. My life is complete now that I have found my soulmate.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
