A Thank You To My Suitemates

Because I couldn't imagine this semester without you.

A Thank You To My Suitemates

Living in a sorority house is an experience of its own. Can you imagine living in a house of all females? Don't get me wrong, I love everyone in my house, but I have a particularly strong love for my suite mates. Over the past semester I have grown so close to the five other girls that I share a shower, bathroom, and living space with. They're all quirky and awesome. Here's what I'm thankful for:

1. For the jam sessions

SO BABY PULL ME CLOSER IN THE BACKSEAT OF YOUR ROVER. Who doesn't love a good jam session to the overplayed "Closer" by The Chainsmokers?

2. For getting ready together

"Can you do my eyeshadow?" "Does this lipstick look good?"

3. For help with outfits

Especially outfits for game days and dates!

4. For encouragement to do well in classes

There's nothing better than a friend asking how you felt about your test or how far along with your paper you are.

5. For going out together or staying in together

There's always someone else who's down to have a good time...whether that be on fraternity row or at the movies.

6. For always having someone to eat with

Late night mozzarella sticks. There's truly nothing better.

7. For rant sessions

Because sometimes boys are dumb and professors are unfair and friends are mean.

8. For dealing with my early morning grumpiness

They know that if I ignore them before class in the morning, it's probably because I haven't had coffee and physically don't have the ability to speak.

9. For sharing your beds

Especially the girls with the bottom bunk...thank you for letting me crawl in and cuddle at random times of the day.

10. For being my best friends

I'm fairly upset that all of y'all are moving out of our suite next semester. Don't worry, I'll still be here. Come visit!

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.

There is always a time in the semester when you have about three papers, four tests, five assignments and two projects due within the same time period. Isn't that just the best?

It's almost as if the professors all plot against you just to make college even more stressful than it already is. No matter how many people try to make you feel better, no one ever compares to your mom. Moms always know exactly what to say.
