There aren't enough words to say thank you, but I can try.

Thank you for taking us in, when we had nowhere to go. I am so grateful for you opening your arms and heart to us, when you had barely known us or what kind of problems we were carrying. Moving into your house, as a kid, was moving into the coolest place. You had a Wii, toys, and cool bunk beds, but as an adult, I realize you did what you did to make us feel comfortable, which was something we hadn't felt before. Thank you for that.

Thank you for being my mom's husband. I remember before we met you, how sad my mom could be and when you came into our lives how much joy we have now. Whether it's you just cracking a joke, or doing something obviously over the top to just entertain us, you have a fun contagious energy we never had as a family before.

Thank you for loving my mom for who she is and showing me an example of a healthy relationship, when I grew up with a skewed understanding from experiencing divorce and neglect.

Thank you for giving me two beautiful siblings, although unexpected, so so loved. I couldn't imagine what my life would have been like without them and without you, we would never have had them.

Thank you for my step-siblings. I truly feel like they are the missing siblings I always needed, and I'm so appreciative of being able to form such a bond with them.

Thank you for my special blended family that makes people think I'm crazy when I try to explain it.

Thank you for always treating me with kindness, even when you were the only one.

Thank you for trying to be understanding about our life before you. Even though we were in a new house, our problems didn't just go away and you stuck around and supported us.

Thank you for working hard and supporting us all. I see you work from dawn until past dark every day to take care of us. I hope you know how much what you do is appreciated. You gave us the best life I thought possible, more than I ever imagined for me.

Thank you for letting our house be the hangout house and for always letting me have friends stay the night, even for weeks at a time. My childhood was memorable because of the things you made possible.

Thank you for every party: my eighth-grade pool party, my Halloween themed 14th birthday party, my sweet 16, my graduation party, my 21st birthday, and all the others. Those memories are some of my fondest and were all thanks to you and Mom.

Thank you for believing in me when I wanted to audition for The Voice and America's Got Talent. There are so many things in my life I would never have done without you. Thank you for listening to me sing for hours upon hours, and always being honest when I sounded like shit. Thank you for trying to understand my mental illnesses and always doing your best to give me quality advice, even when I don't ask for it, sometimes it's needed and really helps.

Thank you for always trying to lighten the mood. We are a family of way too dramatic girls. Thank you for making everything a joke and bringing us back to reality.

Thank you for still supporting me as an adult and for giving me a job where I can be around the people I love 24/7 and feel like I'm making a difference.

Thank you for loving me.

Thank you.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!

There is nothing quite like family.

Family is kinda like that one ex that you always find yourself running back to (except without all the regret and the angsty breakup texts that come along with it).

No matter how long your class is, there's always time for the mind to wander. Much like taking a shower or trying to fall asleep, sitting in a classroom can be a time when you get some of your best ideas. But, more than likely, you're probably just trying to mentally cope with listening to a boring lecturer drone on and on. Perhaps some of the following Aristotle-esque thoughts have popped into your head during class.

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.
