My Wonderful RA,
I would like to thank you for everything that you have done, and everything you will do in the future. You are devoted, smart, and successful, everything that a role model should be. That's what you are, a role model. You turned your experience as a resident assistant into an opportunity to grow and teach. You have taught myself, and your other residents from this year and past years, so much about our school and college.
I would especially like to thank you for the nights where we have no one to talk to, where we feel alone, and need someone to listen, and your door is always open. Being a freshman in college, or even a senior, college can be an extremely stressful, emotional time. Without some guidance, I would be lost. You let me lay on your couch, and complain about my life struggles. You listen to me when I make no sense, and give me advice when I feel like I am drowning.
I ask you hopelessly idiotic questions, and I am so curious about your life and your experiences as a person and a college student. You tell me the best times to go to dhall, you tell me stories of professors who are extremely rude, and you tell me stories of the best professors in the world, you guide me to be the best version of myself possible. You're the older sister that I have never had, you give me strength to continue living my life and growing as a person and a student.
Thank you for listening to me rant, and cry. Thank you for staying up late and putting your hours of homework off to help me with my journey as a college freshmen. Thank you for not treating me like I am idiotic for not knowing every single thing about being a college student. I am learning and growing as a person, much of it due to your guidance. You are the best RA a person could ask for, you are my role model and my friend.
All my love,
Your favorite resident.
P.S. What happens in your room, stays in your room.
