Thank You PanHellenic
Carolann

Greek life has seriously gotten me involved in so many things. I volunteer more, I do better in my classes, and literally all of my friends are Greeks. So naturally, I was extremely excited for sorority recruitment. Not only am I excited to see new members in our chapter, but I also have the privilege to be on PanHellenic. PanHellenic is an organization that is made up of an unbiased board of sorority members that each chapter elects. We basically are there to support potential new members through the recruitment process and help them to make an unbiased decision. What I didn't know about PanHellenic was how absolutely amazing it is.

Part of being on PanHellenic is disaffiliating with your sorority. So, since about May I have not been able to wear my letters or tell anyone what sorority I am in; and honestly, it has been so hard. I cannot wait to put on my letters and scream what sorority I am from. But, on the other hand, it has been so worth it.

The incredible energy that comes flooding in the recruitment room every day from the potential new members has had me on an energy high. I love seeing all of their sunshiney faces coming back from each sororities parties and I love that they are all so excited to find out what sorority we are in at the end of the week. I almost can't even put into words the incredible feeling it is to help all of these girls join a sorority and find their home.

Seeing girls so interested in the sororities that we all spend so much time with is so touching because it makes me feel like everything we have all worked so hard for is being accomplished. At the end of the day we want Greek life to grow, and there is no better way to see that happen than being on PanHellenic. So with that, shout out to my PanHellenic homies. Love you for life.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter
morethanwheels

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
