Being from Maryland is more than just a feeling, it is more like a religion. some things that make up that religion, are being more than addicted to Maryland blue crabs in the summer, visiting the ocean and the inner harbor in the summer, and going to orioles game April-October. The Orioles are more than just the baseball team, they are more like a second family when you are away from home. A game is always so welcoming and the food is always to die for.
This is for you, home team.
Thank you for not having a bad seat in the house. Every seat you could choose from is always the best seat, because the Camden Yards was built so that no matter where you sit, you won't miss any of the action.
Thank you to the players for having hearts of gold and being so compassionate towards the fans and other players, as well as freely showing their love for their families and friends.
Thank you Buck, for being the best manager in baseball. You stand up for what you know is right in the game, and you always keep things interesting, and making sure everyone is involved. Thank you for being a spectacular manager.
Thank you, Orioles, for loving your country, and never being afraid to show it. Some people may be frightened every time we do it, or never understand why we all yell "OH!" during the national anthem, but it gives me goosebumps every time.
Thank you for being so appreciative of us, the fans. Thank you for giving us some credit, even though the hard work really sits on your shoulders. (This next one was one of the best games I've been to.)
Thank you for making the best of a season, even if it isn't a winning one. Thank you for losing with grace, and showing us all that sportsmanship is the real key to success.
Thank you for being proud of who you represent, you know us Marylanders love our flag, and you're even willing to use it in clothing.
Thank you for doing things to help out the communities in Maryland that need help getting back up off their feet. The riots in Baltimore in 2015 brought down the spirits of the people, and of the state itself, because we never though such a thing could happen around us.
