Malcolm X once said, All of our experiences fuse into our personality. Odyssey, you have certainly fused into mine. I will forever appreciate you and honor you for the platform that you have given me. You challenged me as a writer and thinker, and for that I am grateful. I have been able to write about a host of imperative topics, such as, Mass incarceration, 21st century Black activism, The Black Church, and many more controversial issues. I was able to do this all while having the support of so many intellectual and creative thinkers. However, sometimes in life you are granted with opportunities that will further your career, and continue the shaping of your existence. The shaping of my existence continues at Huffington Post, as I will serve as an Editor-at-Large representative for Morehouse College.

With such a great and distinct opportunity, the only way you can move forward is if you respect from which you came, honor where you are going, without losing the work ethic you started with. I will forever respect Odyssey, and some of the amazing writers there because they believed in me. I would like to Thank, Corey D. Smith for helping me on my journey to Odyssey, Joshua Reed and Kylan Kester for challenging, pushing, and supporting my writing. I am always a phone call away. Thank You Odyssey, for giving me the opportunity to write unapologetically. Though, my time has ended at Odyssey, seeds are being planted at Huffington because of you.
