Thank You Notes To My College Best Friends

Finding your bridesmaids so early into your life is not something that comes easily to everyone. Luckily for me, after going away to college, I found the girls who I know will stick by my side through thick and thin and for better or for worse. Being able to wake up every morning and know you will have friends who love you no matter what you did the night before is a beautiful thing, so I want to dedicate this to you. My best friends, my soulmates, and my bridesmaids.

Thank you for letting me eat your food, even if it was your last pack of Poptarts.

Because this is college and I'm starving and too poor to buy my own food.

Thank you for always being my shoulder to cry on.

Even when I was crying at the most unreasonable times.

Thank you for encouraging my bad habits rather than scolding me for them.

Because who else would dance on top of the bar with me?

Thank you for letting me be weird.

And never once judging me for it.

Thank you for not caring about my constant naked-ness.

Because we all know pants and bras are always optional.

Thank you for staying up late to help me study even when you had an 8 a.m. the next morning.

Whats college without a few all nighters?

Thank you for holding my hair back while I thew up.

Then forcing me to drink water even if I didn't want too, my body was grateful for it the next morning.

Thank you for still loving me even after all the embarrassing things I have done.

And loving me even when I don't always love myself.

Thank you for forcing me to come home with you, even after I refused multiple times.

Because nothing screams regret like a walk of shame across campus at 9am.

Thank you for helping me realize I'm way too good for the guy who broke my heart.

And reminding me there's plenty of other guys out there who are much better and cuter then him.

Thank you for letting me order Jimmy Johns at 2am even though you knew I'd regret it in the morning.

Because you know better than to argue with an angry drunk.

Thank you for helping me realize life should rarely be taken seriously.

Were young and were reckless but that's okay.

Thank you for letting me text you until you replied.

Because walking out of class with 18 unread text messages is the most sincerest form of endearment.

Thank you for not getting mad every time I wanted to re-take a picture.

And always letting me have my good side.

Thank you for letting your closet be my closet.

Because even after spending hundreds of dollars on clothes, I still have nothing cute to wear.

Thank you for being my nurse and my doctor when I'm sick.

Because we all know we can't rely on Health Services.

Thank you for sometimes forcing me to do things I don't want to do.

What kind if friend would you be if you didn't push me try something new?

Thank you for being straight up with me about everything.

Even though sometimes I hate it, it's made me a better person.

Thank you for welcoming me into your family like I was your own sibling.

Because family means nobody gets left behind.

Thank you for being my constant cheerleader throughout life.

Even for the littlest things.

Thank you for being you.

Because I don't think I could survive in this crazy world without you by my side.

The Battle Between College And My Mental Health

College isn't easy, and I'm afraid I'm not going to make it at the rate my mental health is going.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?

I probably should have learned to say no to adding more to my schedule a long time ago, but instead here are 11 things that can be more helpful than coffee.

Resting b***h face. Defined as a person, usually a girl, who naturally looks mean when her face is expressionless, without meaning to. Many of you suffer from this "condition." You are commonly asked what's wrong, when nothing is. What people don't know is that is just your facial expression. Here are some things they wish you knew.
