The light fades as the sun sinks further into the hills. The only natural light now comes from the moon, graciously surrounded by stars. But even in all its beauty, you can't help but yawn. Your eyes are growing heavier by the second, and your bed is calling your name, but there's still one unmarked item left on today's schedule: tune into Nick At Nite for your favorite re-runs of the show you can't let pass by.
As if you even need to be told, Nick At Nite is TV's MVP. Seriously, not any other channel out there does what they do, and we can't get enough of it. Thank you, Nick At Nite for supplying us with our favorite sitcoms night after night.
In appreciation of our favorite night-time channel, here are five of its shows that demand our attention, even after hours.
1. F.R.I.E.N.D.S.
If you don't know and love this show, are you even human? Seriously, the writers knew what they were doing when they scripted the intertwining stories of these six. Whether it's Monica and Chandler acting all cutesy and lovey, Rachel and Ross bickering at one another, or Phoebe and Joey cracking cheesy jokes, we can't resist this one.
2. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
You're scrolling through channels looking for something to watch, but nothing calls you in. That is until you stumble upon the words "now this is a story all about how my life got flipped-turned upside down," and suddenly, your urge to flip through channels disappears. What better way to settle down than with a couple laughs provided by the best of the best, Will Smith.
3. Full House
I don't think I'll ever see the day when "Full House" gets old. It's just that unique kind of show because even if you've seen every episode umpteen times, you're going to watch it again when it comes on. There's just no better way to revisit our childhood than by watching an episode here and there. Plus, no girl can forget her first crush, and Uncle Jesse was just that for tons of us.
4. The Nanny
Who casts one of the most annoying voices and turns it into something irresistible? "The Nanny" does, that's who. And, we are so happy they did. Let's be honest, without this sitcom, girls everywhere wouldn't have the proper fashion education that Fran provided in her 30-minute shows we all learned to love.
5. George Lopez
It's the iconic scene of the whole family jumping on the trampoline, hair flying everywhere, that draws us in. The Lopez family may not be the most perfect, like many of our own families, but they are what all families should strive to be. Like glue, they stick together no matter what, and it's their journey of life that draws us in. It's funny, it's realistic and it's relatable.
Thanks, Nick At Nite. You're the real MVP.
