Dear Mother,
I know we have had (and always will) have our ups and downs. From being a teenager trying to break free to becoming an adult that is in college, I have a lot to thank you for. When I was younger I was attached to you at the hip and did not want to leave you. Then when I was a teenager all I wanted to do was get away and be free. Now being an adult I can see why you did what you did and am completely grateful for all that you have done for me. Being an adult I'm also extremely sorry for how I acted as a teenager, I know it wasn't always fun and when I was younger I told you I wouldn't be a rotten teenager. I know I don't say it enough but I love you. You have mad sacrifices for me, whether they are big or small, they are beyond appreciated. With those sacrifices comes many things that I need to thank you for.
Thank you for giving me advice when I was crying my eyes out about some stupid topic that doesn't matter today. Thank you for always supporting me no matter what I do, and being there if it doesn't work out. Thank you for coming to my Kindergarden class when I didn't cry for you to come. Thank you for being honest, and blunt with me, sometimes its needed in life. Thank you for teaching me about Jesus and what amazing things He has done for us. Thank you for teaching me how to take care of babies and some speical techniques to help put them to sleep. Thank you for showing me how to be a good wife. Thank you for showing me how to love, and care for others. Thank you for being a great example of what God wants us to do as His disciples. Thank you for being the best mother a 21 year old girl could ask for. You are the best role model that I could have asked for. You are everything that I hope to become when I become a mother.
Some days we butt heads and other days we get along like best friends, but thats how it is. I know that you will always be here for me, and knowing that makes life not so scary. You have helped me see the world in different perspectives. I know I owe you more than a thank you for everything you have done for me, but for now all I can afford (being a poor college student) is a big, fat, juicy THANK YOUR FOR BEING THE BEST MOTHER IN THE HISTORY OF MOTHERS!
Sincerely,
Your Daughter
