My mom is my best friend and I definitely acknowledge and appreciate all that she does for me, but even I forget to thank her daily.

Thank you for all of the little things.

Like making me dinner, or making me hot tea when I don’t feel well. Thank you for the random gifts like clothes and shoes.

Thank you for always being my biggest supporter.

I could always count on you to be on the sideline for any game cheering me on, and now that I’m older you continue to route for me in anything that I do, whether it be a new opportunity or even just in wishing me luck throughout the semester. You never fail to cheer me on and let me know you’re proud.

Thank you for giving me a home to live in.

You struggle sometimes, but you never skip a beat, you give me not only a roof over my head but everything that comes with our home. Like our amazing little family of 4 (6 if you count clemson and ash), or our game nights that usually end in one of us being angry that we lost, you give us all a warm home that welcomes us.

Thank you for being so selfless.

You never care about taking us to or from places, waking up super late or extremely early, letting us come cuddle in bed if we don’t feel good and going the extra mile for us all of the time. You do and do, not for yourself, but for us and I promise it does not go unnoticed.

Thank you for being my mom.

If given the chance to relive a life with any family or life I wanted, a thousand times over I would continue to chose this life with you as my mom. You are the best person I have ever encountered and I am positive there is no one else like you in this world. Keep being you and even if I don’t say it every day know I am so thankful for you and everything you do.

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.
