Thank You To My Literal Day Ones, Mom And Dad

They've literally always been there for me, so my parents deserve some major recognition. Here's to you, Mom and Dad.

Thank You To My Literal Day Ones, Mom And Dad

Where do I even begin? My parents have always been the most loving and supportive people around. They've always had my back and they've always done whatever they can for me. Every once in a while I catch myself taking them for granted, which is something that they certainly don't deserve. I know I don't say it as often as I should, but I truly am so thankful and appreciative of all they do for me. So this one's for you, Mom and Dad.

If you don't know my parents, trust me, you're missing out. You can see through their multitude of friends that they are well loved, deservingly so. They've touched so many lives through their jobs, their involvement in church and the community, and their ability to always happily lend a helping hand. Though there are so many people who have greatly benefited from the love of my parents, I'm going to focus on all they've done for me.

Mom, thank you. Thank you for always answering my numerous daily FaceTime and phone calls. Thank you for listening to any minor inconvenience I endure and every minor detail of my day. Thank you for having such a great sense of creativity and craftiness. You have the best brain and I love seeing all the things you think of and put together. Thank you for dealing with me following you around and annoying you for 18 years. Thank you for always being up for a dance party in the kitchen and for entertaining my weirdness. Thank you for having such a kind heart and for displaying it every day through all you do. Whether it's for the kindergartners you teach, the friends you make smile, or the family you care for endlessly, you have the greatest ability to make people feel so happy and loved. And most of all, thank you for being you. I could never put into words all the love you've given to me and I could never possibly thank you enough. You are so beautiful inside and out and I am so lucky to be able to call such a wonderful woman like you my mom.

Dad, thank you.Thank you for being the best example of hard work and dedication. Whether it's building a small table, a pool deck, or an entire floor of an arena, you do it all and you do it incredibly. You work so hard and you love what you do, which pushes and inspires me to work just as hard as you in my future career. Thank you for your sense of humor and giving me the sarcastic gene, though Mom is probably not so thankful for that. You never fail to make me laugh and I love being able to joke around with you. Thank you for introducing me to so many great songs and artists and helping me create my amazing taste in music. It makes me so happy to be able to talk about music and sing along with you. Thank you for always giving me money, even when I lie and say I don't need it in an attempt to seem humble and fiscally responsible. Thank you for teaching me to always ask for help and always reminding me that you and Mom are there for me. Thank you for being someone I can always look up to and learn from. Thank you for loving me and doing so much for me. You're the best dad I could've ever asked for and I am so grateful to be your daughter.

Thank you, Mom and Dad. I love you both so much and I am so glad that I was blessed with the best parents around. Thank you for everything you do, all day, every day.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
