He's My Boyfriend and My Best Friend
"And then my soul saw you, and it went, "Oh there you are, I've been looking for you."

From the moment I met you, I knew you were about to become a huge part of my life. From the first night we ever talked, to you taking me on my very first date, there was something about you that I knew I didn't want to live without. What I didn't know back then though, was how much you would drive me crazy, or how good it feels to have you by my side after a long day. There are so many reasons why I love you, and I don't tell you enough how grateful I am to have found you. So, this one is for you; My boyfriend, my supporter, my best friend.

You're my high school sweetheart.

From the very start, everything with you came so naturally. You were with me through the best and worst times of my teenage years, and I am so grateful for that. Not many people can say that they have been with their significant other since they were freshmen in high school, but I am glad I can. We have helped each other grow and become the people we are today. I am so proud of the person I have watched you grow into, and I can't wait to watch you achieve your goals and dreams.

You're the first person I want to tell my good and bad news.

Almost all of my exciting moments in life I have gotten to share with you, and I can't imagine having anyone else to be there for me. When the big things in life become too much to handle, I know you'll be there. Even if you don't have the right words to say, you have open arms and willing ears to listen to my obsessive rambling/ugly crying. I couldn't ask for a better supporter than you.

You challenge me.

You have never let me win. At anything. Ever. Not even Monopoly. And as sassy as I get about it, I know that it's all out of fun (except for Monopoly). I have become the person I want to be because of you and the way you challenge me to be better, and do better, even if it sometimes makes me mad. You never tell me what I want to hear, you tell me what I need to hear. And it is so nice to have someone in my life that is constantly pushing me to be a greater version of myself.

I have never laughed so hard in my life than when I am with you.

You can make me laugh like no other. I can't count how many times you have showed me a video, or said something silly and I laughed/cried until my belly hurt. Just seeing you laugh makes me happy. Even when I am mad at you, you always manage to put a smile on my face and change my mood instantly.

You put up with my sass.

There are days when I am fed up with the world, and even though I don't mean to, I take it out on you. But instead of getting offended, you either tell me, "Hey, stop acting like that," or you just give it right back. I really love that about you, and I appreciate you for putting up with my diva moments.

I have the most fun doing the simplest things with you.

Whether it's our sad attempts at playing guitar hero or staying in on Saturday nights doing your laundry, I enjoy every minute I get to spend with you.

You are so comforting.

You have no idea how nice it is to look across a room and see your face. Going through life knowing that you're going to be here with me is one of the best feelings in the world. It is true that love is like coming home. When I see you, I feel like I am home, and I am comfortable and confident enough to do anything. Having you by my side has been and always will be my greatest adventure.

Thank you for letting me be myself around you, for pushing me to chase my dreams, and for loving me unconditionally and being my best friend. Barney Stinson said it best when he said,

"I love our story. Sure it's messy, but it's the story that got us here."

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
